The main meeting spot was exactly where the viewpoint was built. Here, people would cook various dishes outdoors, prepare soups, grill meats, and enjoy drinks, often toasting with rakija.
Another key aspect of Vrtaljica’s significance was related to sports. Those who worked on building their strength and fitness would often run to the spot where the viewpoint now stands. The surrounding forest provided natural challenges, making it an ideal location for outdoor training. This area was perfect for “street workouts” or, as some like to call it, the “Vrtaljica workout” 🙂
